Trade: Calgary Acquires Forward Lukas Hansen from Saskatoon
Calgary, AB – The Calgary Hitmen have acquired 19 year-old forward Lukas Hansen from the Saskatoon Blades in exchange for 2009 born prospect Adam Halat.
Hansen, a product of Winnipeg, MB, is in his fourth Western Hockey League season. The 2005 born forward was drafted by the Saskatoon Blades in the 2020 WHL Prospects draft in the second round (28th overall). Hansen brings veteran experience having played 168 regular season games accruing 43 points (22G,21A). The fourth year forward also brings playoff experience having played a combined 34 playoff games over the past two seasons with Saskatoon.
“We are excited about the addition of an older and experienced player like Lukas,” said General Manager Garry Davidson. “He will add valuable depth to our forward group as we move into the second half push and into the playoffs.”

Hansen will join the team in Calgary, and will wear number 27.
Calgary are back in action Friday, Dec 27 in Lethbridge to face the Hurricanes for a 7:00 p.m. start. They return to home ice on Sunday, December 29th to welcome the Medicine Hat Tigers at the Scotiabank Saddledome for a 2:00 p.m. start. Tickets are available here.
