RECAP: Calgary Racks Up the Shot Clock in a 5-2 Loss to Warriors
Calgary, AB – The Calgary Hitmen welcomed the Moose Jaw Warriors to the Scotiabank Saddledome for their second meeting of the season. Despite outshooting the Warriors 44-19, the Hitmen fell 5-2.
Calgary finally broke through on their 30th shot of the night, with Ethan Moore converting on the power play in the second period. Moose Jaw responded quickly with a goal from Riley Thorpe to tie the game, before Mathieu Lajoie added another late in the frame to give the Warriors a 2-1 lead heading into the third.

Moose Jaw extended their lead early in the final period with a goal from William Degagne, then made it 4-1 when Landen McFadden scored on the power play with under five minutes remaining.
Brandon Gorzynski brought Calgary back within two on the power play, ripping home a one-timer off a feed from Hunter Aura for his 11th of the season. Calgary’s late push was closed out with McFadden striking again on a late Moose Jaw power play to secure the 5-2 victory.
Calgary finishes out the month when they welcome their Central Divison rivals Red Deer Rebels on Nov. 30 for a 2:00 p.m. puck drop at the Scotiabank Saddledome. It will be another Sunday Funday presented by Brookfield Residential. Fans can enjoy $6 food and drink deals all game long, $3 sips and snack plus Face Painting and the Fun Zone on the West Concourse.The entire team will also be on the concourse for a post-game autograph session behind Section 210. The Hitmen will then cap this four-game homestand when the Prince Albert Raiders visit the Saddledome on Friday, Dec. 5 in a 7:00 p.m. start.
