RECAP: Calgary Put On Brink Of Elimination in 5-2 Loss to Tigers
Calgary, AB – The Calgary Hitmen returned to Scotiabank Saddledome for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Medicine Hat Tigers, falling 5-2 and now facing elimination.
Scoring got off to a quick start with Ethan Moore scoring his eighth goal of the playoffs just 1:04 into the game. Medicine Hat would have a quick response, with Liam Ruck finding the back of the net just 15 seconds later. Wyatt Pisarczyk scored his first career playoff goal to return the Calgary lead heading into the second period. The Tigers shifted momentum in the middle frame with Liam and Markus Ruck both scoring for Medicine Hat to grab their first lead of the game.
The third period would go scoreless until Calgary had the empty net in the final two minutes. Liam Ruck would net one to complete his hat trick, while Ethan Neutens would follow up with an empty net of his own to make the final 5-2.
