Four Calgary Hitmen Named in NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings
Four Calgary Hitmen were ranked in the NHL Central Scouting final rankings for the 2025 NHL Draft. Forward Ben Kindel comes in ranked at #21 amongst North American Skaters, while forward Brandon Gorzynski joins him at #50. Anders Mille comes in at #20 amongst North American goalies, and Hitmen prospect Kale Dach is ranked at 136.
Ben Kindel – Forward (#21)
Benjamin Kindel was drafted by Calgary in the 2022 WHL Prospects draft selected in the second round, 43rd overall. He had an impressive rookie season finishing third in team scoring with 60 points (15G, 45A) in 68 games in the 2023-24 season. Kindel brought home gold for Canada at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup in August and was was also selected for the CHL USA Prospects Challenge that took place in November. The product of Coquitlam BC had a career high season with 99 points (35g, 64a) in 65 games. The forward broke a 25 year-old franchise record completing a 23 game point streak.
Brandon Gorzynski – Forward (#50)
Brandon Gorzynski was drafted by Calgary in the 2022 WHL U.S. Priority Draft selected 15th overall. The forward has jumped 31 spots from his midterm ranking of 81. The forward from Scottsdale, AZ has completed his second season with the Calgary Hitmen finishing the regular season with 42 points (17g, 25a) in 68 games.
Anders Miller – Goaltender (#20)
Anders Miller, a product of Anchorage, Alaska, came to the Hitmen from the Lloydminster Bobcats of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) and was signed to Calgary mid November. Since then goaltender appeared in 22 games posting a record of 13-4-0-2 and finished the regular season with a 2.34 GAA and 0.909 SV%. The goaltender has had five starts in the Hitmen’s post season, collecting four wins.
Kale Dach – Forward (#136)
Dach was drafted by Calgary in the fifth round (95th overall) in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft. Since then, the forward from Fort Saskatchewan, AB, has played the last two seasons in the BCHL with the Sherwood Park Crusaders. Dach had a career high season, registering 87 points (22g, 65a) in 54 games played. He has caught the eye of NHL Scouts, cracking the NHL Central Scouting’s Mid Term Rankings at spot 154 amongst North American Skaters and moving up to 136. The 18 year old will join the Calgary Hitmen for the 2025-26 season.
