CALGARY HITMEN, WHL ANNOUNCE SCHEDULE CHANGES TO THE 2021-22 SEASON
The Calgary Hitmen and the Western Hockey League announced today the 2022 WHL Playoffs will begin Friday, April 22, allowing for an update to the 2021-22 WHL Regular Season schedule, including the rescheduling of previously postponed Regular Season games. The 2021-2022 Regular Season will now conclude on Sunday, April 17th. Should tie-breaker game(s) be needed, those will be scheduled for Tuesday, April 19th with the 2022 WHL Playoff to follow.
The following home games for the Hitmen have been rescheduled:
- Sunday March, 20 vs. Edmonton Oil Kings rescheduled to Sunday, April 10 (2:00 p.m. MST)
- Thursday March, 24 vs. Red Deer Rebels rescheduled to Wednesday, April 13 (7:00 p.m. MST)
- The previously postponed game of Sunday, January 1 vs. the Lethbridge Hurricanes has been rescheduled to Sunday, April 17 (2:00 p.m. MST)
Tickets for the previously scheduled games will be valid for the new dates.
Calgary is back in Seven Chiefs Sportsplex on Tsuut’ina Nation on Friday, Feb. 18 to host Winnipeg. Game time is 7:00 p.m. Due to capacity limits that game against the ICE is now sold out. The Hitmen will then return to Scotiabank Saddledome to welcome Saskatoon (Feb. 20) and Prince Albert (Feb. 23).
