Ready For The Rockets

After a big victory in Whitehorse, Yukon on the weekend the Vancouver Giants get set to go back to work on Wednesday February 16th when they play host to the Kelowna Rockets at the Pacific Coliseum at 7:00pm. The Giants have just 16 games left in their regular season schedule, 4 of those games will be vs. Kelowna beginning on Wednesday. Vancouver holds just a two point edge over Kelowna for 1st place in the B.C. division; however, the Rockets do have one game in hand. These two rivals have split the first four meetings this year, with Vancouver winning the first two games and Kelowna winning the last two. The most recent, a 7-3 win for the Rockets back on January 29th at Prospera Place in Kelowna.

In terms of their remaining schedule the advantage has to go to Vancouver. Of the Giants remaining 16 games, 10 are at home and they only have to go on 1 game road trips. The Rockets have 17 games left on the year, 8 at home and 9 on the road, including a 4 game road trip through the tough Central Division.
