PREVIEW: Giants Hit Road to Battle Wild on Wednesday
Wenatchee, WA – The Vancouver Giants (9-13-1-1) make their first trip to Wenatchee on Wednesday night to face the Wild (6-12-1-1) at 6 p.m. PST.
The Giants are still trying to navigate their way out of a rough stretch: they are 1-5-1 in their last seven and 2-6-1 in the month of November. Vancouver also has just three road wins this season (3-8-0-1), tied for the third-fewest in the WHL.
Wenatchee is in last place in the Western Conference, but is 5-4-1-0 on home ice this season. They were winless in their first six games (0-4-1-1), but have gone 6-8-0-0 since, including 4-5-0-0 in November. The Wild have struggled to score goals this season, averaging just 2.60 goals for per game, the fewest in the WHL.
The Giants won the first H2H meeting between these clubs on home ice on Oct. 17 by a score of 5-2.
