PREVIEW: Giants Visit Cougars on Friday Looking to Rebound
LANGLEY, B.C. – The Vancouver Giants (18-25-1-2) need to bounce back quickly as they play the Prince George Cougars (26-16-2-0) on the road tonight at 7 p.m. following a disappointing three-game stretch last weekend where they went 0-3-0.
The Giants most recent game was a loss against the Cougars on Sunday at the Langley Events Centre and now they’ll face Prince George twice in a row to close out the season series.
The Giants find themselves in 10th place in the Western Conference – five points back of the eighth and final playoff spot, however, they are currently without Ryan Lin and Adam Titlbach, plus new acquisitions Mathis Preston, Joe Iginla and Kaleb Hartmann, all due to injury.
Vancouver is 6-15-0-2 on the road this season.

TONIGHT’S MATCHUP
The Cougars are coming off a 5-1 road win against the Giants on Sunday, their third win in a row following road wins against Kamloops (7-6 OT) and Kelowna (3-2 OT). Prince George is in third place in the West.
Prince George was winless in eight games before their current three-game winning streak, meaning both teams are 3-6-1 in their last 10. The Cougars have the league’s best power play entering Friday’s action at 32.5%.
This will be the third of four head-to-head meetings between Vancouver and Prince George this season. The Giants are 1-1-0 so far.
