PREVIEW: Giants Look to Spoil Silvertips Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday
Everett, WA. – The Vancouver Giants (12-14-1-1) go for their fourth consecutive win tonight when they take on the Everett Silvertips (22-3-2-21) in enemy territory for the Tips Teddy Bear Toss at 6:05 p.m. PT at Angel of the Winds Arena.
The Giants are coming off a 3-2 regulation win over Portland on home ice last night and have gotten superb goaltending over their last three games: Burke Hood has stopped 94 of 99 shots in his last two starts – wins over Everett and Portland – and Kelton Pyne made 46 saves on 48 shots in a 3-2 SO win over Penticton in his last start.
The Silvertips played in Tri-City last night, winning 4-1, but their 4-3 loss to the Giants one week ago will surely be fresh on their mind.
The Giants are 2-6-0 in the last five years in road games against Everett.
