PREVIEW: Giants Look to Right Ship vs. Struggling Wheat Kings
Brandon, Man. – The Vancouver Giants (2-5-0) look to right the ship on their East Division road trip on Friday night, when they visit the struggling Brandon Wheat Kings (0-4-1) for a 5 p.m. PDT puck drop at Assiniboine Credit Union Place.
This is the fifth of six games for the Giants on their 12-day road trip and they’ll need to rebound after a pair of lopsided losses earlier this week.
The Giants began the trip last weekend splitting their first two games in Swift Current (7-5 L) and Moose Jaw (5-3 W), but have only been able to muster a single goal in their last two games: a 6-1 loss to Saskatoon on Tuesday followed by a 6-0 defeat to Prince Albert on Wednesday.
The Giants have given up a league-high 41 goals through seven games, while Brandon is second-last with 31 goals against through five games.

TONIGHT’S MATCHUP
Tonight is the first and only head-to-head meeting between Vancouver and Brandon this season.
Last year, the Giants won the only H2H game 3-1 at the LEC in mid-January. The year prior, Brett Mirwald posted a shutout in a 4-0 win on January 6 as the Giants were beginning their Prairie road trip.
