PREVIEW: Giants Host Everett Monday Night for Military Appreciation Night
Langley, B.C. – The Vancouver Giants (8-10-0-1) face a tough test on Monday night as they welcome the Western Conference-leading Everett Silvertips (14-1-2-0) to Langley Events Centre at 7 p.m. for Military Appreciation Night.
The Giants will look to move on from a tough weekend that saw them get outscored 12-5 in two losses south of the border: falling on Friday 5-2 against Tri-City and then 7-3 on Saturday against Seattle. The Giants goal differential has been much better on home ice this season, at +1, compared to -21 on the road.
The Silvertips most recently won 4-3 in overtime on Saturday night in Kamloops, helping them to a franchise best 10-0-0 start on the road. Everett’s lone regulation loss this season came on home ice on Oct. 25, losing 7-0 to Penticton. They have the league’s 2nd-best goal differential at +29.
