PREVIEW: Giants Head to Island on Friday to Spoil Royals Teddy Bear Toss
VICTORIA, B.C. – The Vancouver Giants (12-16-1-1) begin a rivalry stretch against the Victoria Royals (11-10-4-2) on Friday night when they travel to the Island for the Royals’ Teddy Bear Toss at 7:05 p.m. at Save on Foods Memorial Centre.
The teams will meet for the rematch at Langley Events Centre on Saturday for the Giants Teddy Bear Toss and also play another home-and-home next week.
The Giants will be looking to reverse their road fortunes as of late: they are 1-6-0 in their last seven road contests, following losses this past weekend to Everett (8-2) and Portland (4-2).
Victoria is coming off back-to-back losses to Prince George last weekend, but they picked up a point in each, losing one in overtime and one in a shootout. Victoria is 2-0-1-1 in their last four, but had a seven-game losing streak prior to that (0-6-1-0).
