PREVIEW: Giants Begin Weekend With 2-Game Set in U.S.
Kennewick, WA – The Vancouver Giants (8-8-0-1) battle the Tri-City Americans (6-7-1-0) tonight at the Toyota Center to begin a two-game set against the U.S. Division.
The Giants are coming off a 2-1 win on home ice this past Sunday over the Prince George Cougars.
Vancouver is 6-2-0-1 in their last nine, after starting the season 2-6-0-0. Six of the Giants last eight games have been played on home ice. Tonight is their first road game since Oct. 25.
Tri-City is 4-1-1-0 in their last six games, most recently a 4-3 OT win on the road over the Medicine Hat Tigers. They started the season 1-5-0-0.
The Americans have struggled to score goals this season: averaging 2.64 goals per game, which is second-last in the league.
Last season, Vancouver went 3-0-1-0 against the Ams. Both games in Tri-City went to overtime.
