PREVIEW: Giants Battle Warriors Tonight as Prairie Road Trip Continues
Moose Jaw, Sask. – The Vancouver Giants continue their East Division road trip tonight with the second of six games in nine days.
The Giants began the trip with their best start of the year by far, getting out to a 3-0 lead in the first 92 seconds against Swift Current on Friday. Unfortunately, the Broncos broke a 5-5 deadlock late in the third period and took the two points with a 7-5 win.
The Giants will now face a Warriors team that started the year 3-0-0, but lost their first game on Friday night 5-1 to the Edmonton Oil Kings. Former Giants goaltender Matthew Hutchison was pulled in Friday’s loss.
Limiting goals against and odd-man rushes will surely be a focus for the Giants, who have allowed a league-high 26 goals through four games.
