PRESEASON RECAP: Royals Edge Giants 3-2 on Saturday
Port Coquitlam, B.C. – The Victoria Royals narrowly defeated the Vancouver Giants 3-2 on Saturday night in Port Coquitlam in the Giants preseason opener.
It was the first game action for either side, and special teams played a big factor in the decision. Victoria went 2-for-6 on the power play, while the Giants went 0-for-2.
Tyler Thorpe and Caden Cail had the tallies for the G-Men, while Matthew Hutchison made 29 saves on 32 shots.
The Royals got goals from Wyatt Danyleyko, Nolan Stewart and Kash Alger-East (game-winning-goal).
