PLAYOFF GAME DAY: Game 2 Sunday, March 30 vs. Spokane
Langley, B.C. – The Vancouver Giants look to even up their first round series with the Spokane Chiefs this afternoon at 4 p.m. at the Langley Events Centre after dropping the first game on Friday 4-1.
Vancouver scored first in Game 1, but saw the Chiefs score four unanswered, one of which was an empty-net marker.
Giants goaltender Burke Hood had a standout first career playoff game, making 40 saves on 43 shots, while the other story was the Chiefs line of Assanali Sarkenov, Sam Oremba and Ramus Ekstrom, who scored two of Spokane’s four goals and combined for four points.
Grabbing a win today is vital for the G-Men, as they will head to Spokane next week for three in a row (game five if necessary).
