Langley, B.C. — Recently graduated 20-year-old Vancouver Giants forward Jaden Lipinski is headed to the University of Maine.
The Scottsdale, Arizona native will join the Hockey East Champion Maine Black Bears for the 2025-26 season.
Lipinski spent his entire Western Hockey League career as a Giant, first joining the club as a 17-year-old in the 2021-22 season.
In his four seasons, he tallied 192 points in 260 career games, which is the 9th-highest point total in franchise history. The power forward finished his final year of junior with 58 points in 59 games (17G-41A). He had another strong second half, with 43 points in his final 37 games (14G-29A). The centre also had the 5th-best face-off percentage in the WHL this season at 58.2 per cent.
Lipinski is the fourth Giant to commit to an NCAA school following the changes to the eligibility rules for NCAA men’s hockey.
The University of Maine is located in Orono, Maine. The Black Bears were Hockey East Tournament Champions for the first time since 2004 last season. They play out of the 5,125 seat Harold Alfond Sports Arena.
