Giants Alumnus Wilson Signs with ECHL’s Orlando Solar Bears

Orlando, Fla. —The Vancouver Giants would like to congratulate recent alumnus Wyatt Wilson on signing a standard player contract with the Orlando Solar Bears, the ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning, which was announced today.

Wilson played 53 regular season games and five playoff games for the Giants during the 2023-24 season, after being acquired from the Edmonton Oil Kings in October of 2023. In those 53 games, the bruising defenceman recorded one goal and five assists for six points, along with a +3 rating and 67 penalty minutes.

Over 128 career Western Hockey League games, the Swift Current, Sask. product compiled 24 points (4G-20A) and 135 penalty minutes in 128 games.
