GAME DAY: Sunday, March 16 at Portland
Victoria, B.C. – The Vancouver Giants (32-25-8-0) have a crucial battle on Sunday afternoon at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, when they take on the Portland Winterhawks (35-26-3-1) in a fight for fifth place today at 4:00 p.m. PST.
Both teams have just three games remaining in the regular season and the Giants enter two points behind Portland.
Vancouver is 4-1-0 in their last five, but coming off a 4-3 regulation loss on home ice on Saturday to Victoria.
Portland won at home on Saturday, 6-1 over the visiting Seattle Thunderbirds, but they lost on Friday 5-3 to the Everett Silvertips.
The G-Men are 1-2-1 this season head-to-head versus Portland.

The Vancouver Giants were defeated by the visiting Portland Winterhawks 5-2 on on Feb. 7 at the Langley Events Centre.
Portland led 2-0 after one period and scored two quick goals very early in the second to make it 4-0, before cruising for the most part after that.
Adam Titlbach and Jaden Lipinski each scored for Vancouver in the third period. Burke Hood made 29 saves on 33 shots.
