Kennewick, WA – The Vancouver Giants (12-10-4-0) play the second of three straight on the road this weekend when they visit the Portland Winterhawks (13-11-2-0) tonight at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum at 6 p.m.
The G-Men are fresh off a momentum building 3-2 overtime victory in Tri-City on Friday night.
Saturday is the second of five meetings this season, with a rematch set for tomorrow for the Hawks Teddy Bear Toss.
Vancouver had a difficult month of November with a 3-5-2 record, but have now gone 2-1 to begin December. Friday was their first road win since Oct. 11 at Lethbridge.
Portland did not play on Friday night and are coming off back to back losses to Spokane last weekend, by scores of 5-1 and 7-4. Portland is 6-4 in their last 10.
These clubs enter action tied in the Western Conference standings with 28 points each (Portland is 6th; Vancouver 7th).
Vancouver is 3-5-2 in their last 10, while the Winterhawks are 6-4-0.
