GAME DAY: Monday, February 17 vs. Prince George
Langley, B.C. – The Vancouver Giants (26-21-6-0) look to build off a big win on Saturday night when they host the Prince George Cougars (31-16-4-2) today at the Langley Events Centre at 2 p.m.
The Giants took down the B.C. Division leading Victoria Royals two days ago 4-3 in a shootout, who Prince George is trying to catch for the B.C. Division lead. The Cougars are coming off a split at home versus Everett, losing 3-1 on Friday before bouncing back with a 5-1 win on Saturday.
The Giants are currently three points back of Portland for fifth place in the Western Conference, while the Cougars are five points back of Victoria for second place with two games in hand.
These two rivals haven’t met in Langley since Nov. 24, which was a 4-3 Giants win in regulation. That was Vancouver’s only win vs. P.G. this season, as they are 1-4-1 in the six meetings so far.
The Giants are 4-5-1-0 in their last 10; the Cougars are 7-2-1-0.
