GAME DAY: March 23 vs. Kelowna
Langley, B.C. – The Vancouver Giants (33-26-8-0) wrap up their regular season on Sunday afternoon with their Fan Appreciation game against the Kelowna Rockets (18-43-4-2) at 4 p.m. at the Langley Events Centre.
Today’s result will have no impact on the standings, as the Giants have already clinched sixth place in the Western Conference and will face off with the Spokane Chiefs in the first round of the playoffs beginning next weekend.
The game will, however, be about honouring the Giants graduating 20-year-olds: Jaden Lipinski, Connor Levis and Maxim Muranov. Team awards will also be handed out in a pre-game ceremony.
The G-Men are 5-2 in their last seven games, after a 1-0 shutout win on Friday night in Kamloops. The Rockets snapped a 10-game losing streak last night with a 4-3 win on home ice over the Kamloops Blazers.
The G-Men are 5-1-1 this season head-to-head versus Kelowna.
Off the ice, there are plenty of awesome prizes to be won, including:
- A trip for 2 to Las Vegas
- Signed Giants jerseys
- Tsawwassen Springs Golf pack
- Cinnamon Buns and Bread for a Year from Cobs
- And more!
