GAME DAY: Friday, February 21 at Kelowna
Kelowna, B.C. – The Vancouver Giants (27-21-6-0) hit the road on Friday night to kick off a home-and-home with the Kelowna Rockets (16-32-4-2, with puck drop set for 7:05 p.m. at Prospera Place.
The Giants are coming off two huge wins on home ice: 4-3 in a shootout over the B.C. Division leading Victoria Royals on Saturday night and 7-2 over the Prince George Cougars on Monday afternoon. Tonight will be just the second road game of the month for Vancouver.
The Rockets are struggling at the moment, currently in the midst of a league-high 14-game winless streak (0-12-1-1). Their last home win was on January 10 vs. Prince George.
Vancouver currently sits three points back of Portland for fifth-place in the Western Conference standings. Kelowna is nine points out of the eighth and final playoff spot. Both teams have 14 games remaining in the regular season.
These two rivals have already played four times in the second half of the season, with Vancouver winning all four. The most recent result was a 6-4 win on January 25.

Giants captain Mazden Leslie led the way with two goals (11th, 12th) and an assist. Also scoring for the G-Men were Tyler Thorpe (18th), Connor Levis (17th), Ty Halaburda (17th) and Ryan Lin (4th, empty-net goal).
