Victoria, B.C. – The Vancouver Giants (25-20-6-0) begin a run of five straight games against divisional opponents on Friday night when they face the Victoria Royals (31-14-3-5) at 7:05 p.m. at Save on Foods Memorial Centre.
Tonight also kicks off a home-and-home between the two clubs.
Vancouver is 1-3 so far head-to-head with the Royals, falling 5-2 in the most recent matchup on New Year’s Day. That game came one night after a memorable 7-6 comeback victory on Dec. 31.
The Giants are coming off a 6-2 win over the WHL-leading Everett Silvertips and are 5-4-1 in their last 10. Victoria has won five straight, most recently a 5-4 OT win over Spokane. They are 14-3-1 in their last 18 games.

The Victoria Royals scored three power play goals in a 5-2 win over the Vancouver Giants on New Year’s Day at the Langley Events Centre. The Royals cruised to the win in this one, leading 4-0 after just one period and 5-0 midway through the second, before London Hoilett and Brett Olson each scored for Vancouver. Brayden Boehm had two goals for Victoria, while Hayden Moore, Teydon Trembecky and Cole Reschny each scored once.
