Prince George, BC – The Prince George Cougars and the Prince George Community Foundation, in partnership with Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation and Northern Health are excited to announce the first Mega 50/50 Jackpot of the season benefiting our local first responders during our Sunday, November 13th game against the Vancouver Giants. Sunday’s game is the first matinee of the season beginning at 2pm. This will follow Saturday Night’s “Community Heroes” game, which will be presented by Coastal Gas Link. The entire weekend of Cougars hockey will be dedicated to celebrating local frontline workers and the effort they dedicate to making our community safe and enjoyable.
The 50/50 winner on Sunday, November 13th is guaranteed $25,000 thanks to our sponsor, Wood Wheaton SuperCentre. Mega 50/50 Jackpot tickets can be purchased starting at 9:00am today, October 31st, 2022. Must be 19 plus; know your limit, play within it.
And that’s not all…
An anonymous donor has purchased a total of 4,000 tickets for our first responders and community heroes to attend either Saturday, November 12th or Sunday, November 13th’s game (2,000 per game) – both against the Vancouver Giants. Community Heroes (fire fighters, paramedics, RCMP, Northern Health employees and teachers) will be able to reserve their tickets, on a first come, first serve basis by contacting the Prince George Cougars office before November 10th.
