PREVIEW: Cougars Tangle With Royals to Wrap Up Weekend in Port Coquitlam
Port Coquitlam, BC – The Prince George Cougars will look to collect their first victory of the pre-season when they take on the Victoria Royals at 7:00pm in Port Coquitlam. PG dropped their pre-season opener to the Vancouver Giants by an 8-4 score. Drew Peterson, Terik Parascak, Carson Carels, and Arjun Bawa had the Cougar goals.
“It’s a new day and we will reset,” said Assistant Coach Carter Rigby. “We just need to clean up some details in our game and keep getting better each day. If we compete like we did last night, tighten up in a few areas, we will have a chance to win.”
Tonight marks the one and only time the Cats take on Victoria in the pre-season. The two teams will meet for the first time in the regular season on September 29th and 30th at the Save on Foods Memorial Arena in Victoria. The Prince George Cougars went 8-0-0-1 against Victoria in the 2022-23 season.
