Bolstering Mrs. Boomer
The Spokane Chiefs will hold an auction and help facilitate monetary donations at Sunday afternoon’s Annual Red-White Game in support of long-time friend of the organization, Amanda Krautkraemer. Amanda, sometimes known as “Mrs. Boomer The Bear” was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this summer.
The memorabilia auction will be located in the southeast event lobby at Spokane Arena and will feature premium items such as a blank 2015-16 Breast Cancer Awareness jersey, a customized Kailer Yamamoto 2015-16 Breast Cancer Awareness helmet, a game-worn Chiefs jersey and other assorted items. Monetary donations of any amount will be accepted at the entrance to the game. All donations will go directly to the Krautkraemer family.
The Red-White Game is the annual intrasquad scrimmage marking the culmination of the Chiefs’ Annual Training Camp. Doors for the game will open at noon on Sunday, August 28, with the puck drop scheduled for 1 p.m. The game is free and open to the public. Entrance will be only through the southeast event lobby doors to the arena, just outside the Chiefs’ Ticket Office.
