Spokane Chiefs and Spokane Transit Introduce “Chiefs Fans Ride Free” Program
SPOKANE, Wash. (Sept. 18, 2026) — The Spokane Chiefs and Spokane Transit Authority (STA) announced a new partnership today, introducing the “Chiefs Fans Ride Free” ridership initiative, offering complimentary bus fares to all fans with a game ticket on Spokane Chiefs home game dates for the upcoming 2026-27 Western Hockey League season.
Through the new initiative, Spokane Transit will provide complimentary bus access for all fans attending Chiefs home games, ensuring every fan has a hassle-free route to all the action at Numerica Veterans Arena. On game days, fans holding a valid game ticket can ride any Spokane Transit bus free of charge to and from the arena.
To ensure post-game transit is convenient, STA will also guarantee dedicated post-game bus service on Route 4 stationed just outside the gates of Numerica Veterans Arena immediately following each home game, offering service to both the STA Plaza and multiple Park and Rides.
“We are always looking for ways to enhance our gameday experience and make Chiefs games more accessible to everyone across the Inland Northwest,” said Brian Cobb, Director of Sponsorships with the Chiefs. “We’re proud to partner with STA to highlight another safe, cost-effective, and reliable option for our outstanding community of Chiefs fans.”
The initiative aims to reduce travel-related barriers for families and fans across the region while promoting sustainable, community-minded transportation options.
“This pilot initiative with the Spokane Chiefs advances STA’s goal to become an excellent community partner,” said STA CEO Karl Otterstrom. “We hope Chiefs’ fans enjoy the opportunity to use transit and look forward to welcoming them on the bus.”
