Swift Current, SK –<\/strong> The Swift Current Broncos, in conjunction with the Western Hockey League, announced their full 68-game schedule for the 2026-27 regular season today.<\/p>\n

The regular season begins on Saturday, September 19, when the Broncos host the Prince Albert Raiders at the InnovationPlex, and concludes on Saturday, March 27, with a road game against the Moose Jaw Warriors.<\/p>\n

As part of the WHL’s interconference schedule, the Broncos will face each U.S. and B.C. Division opponent once during the regular season. Within the Central Division, Swift Current will play each opponent four times.<\/p>\n

In the East, the Broncos will play six games against Regina, seven games against Moose Jaw (four home, three road) and Brandon (four road, three home), and eight games against Prince Albert and Saskatoon.<\/p>\n

After making their U.S. Division road trip last season, the Broncos will travel through the B.C. Division in 2026-27. The six-game trip begins on Friday, October 2 in Victoria, followed by a game against Vancouver on Saturday, October 3<\/span>. Swift Current will then visit Penticton on Tuesday, October 6, Kelowna on Wednesday, October 7, Kamloops on Friday, October 9, before wrapping up the trip in Prince George on Sunday, October 11.<\/p>\n

The breakdown of games per month goes as follows: September (3), October (13), November (10), December (9), January (11), February (11) and March (11).<\/span><\/p>\n

The Swift Current Broncos added three international prospects Tuesday during the 2026 CHL Import Draft, selecting defenceman Yuri Vlasenko, forward Oliver Torkki, and forward Stepan Farushev.<\/p>\n

With the 21st overall pick, the Broncos selected 2010-born Russian defenceman Yuri Vlasenko.<\/p>\n

Born in Vienna (Wien<\/em>), Austria, Vlasenko spent the 2025-26 season with Dynamo Moskva U16, where he served as an alternate captain and was recognized as the top 2010-born defenceman in Russia. At the 2025-26 Russia Cup, Vlasenko recorded 4 goals and 15 assists for 19 points in 24 games with Dynamo Moskva U16, showcasing his offensive ability from the blue line. The 15-year-old also earned opportunities to play with Dynamo Moskva’s U17 and U18 teams throughout the season while representing Russia internationally with the country’s U16 National Team.<\/p>\n

The Broncos continued their draft with the 67th overall pick, selecting 2008-born Finnish forward Oliver Torkki.<\/p>\n

A native of Espoo, Finland, Torkki skated for Kiekko-Espoo U20 during the 2025-26 campaign, recording 11 goals and 8 assists for 19 points in 23 games. Internationally, Torkki has represented Finland on several occasions, including the 2024 U17 World Challenge and the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. He also appeared in 10 games with Finland’s U18 National Team this season, collecting two assists.<\/p>\n

The Broncos rounded out the draft by selecting 2009-born Russian forward Stepan Farushev with the 91st overall pick.<\/p>\n

Standing 6-foot-6, the Balashikha, Russia product split the season between Severnaya Zvezda Moskva U17 and MAH Moskva-2 U18. Farushev recorded 11 goals and 12 assists in 28 games with Severnaya Zvezda before finishing the season with MAH Moskva-2 U18, where he posted 7 goals and 9 assists in 14 games.<\/p>\n

Prior to the draft, the Broncos parted ways with import forward Stepan Kuryachenkov.<\/p>\n

The new concept will feature elevated VIP table seating designed to provide fans with a unique and enhanced game day experience while preserving one of the most popular viewing locations in the arena.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each VIP table area will include comfortable premium seating, tables for food and beverages, dedicated wait staff service, and a more private atmosphere for guests enjoying Broncos hockey from ice level.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following months of discussions and feedback from fans, the Broncos Board of Directors approved the new concept as part of the club’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the fan experience and creating new premium seating options for supporters and corporate partners.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Our goal has always been to continue improving the game day experience for Broncos fans while respecting the traditions and atmosphere that have made hockey nights in Swift Current so special,” said Kevin Simpson, Executive Vice President of Business Operations. “This new VIP table experience creates an exciting new premium option while ensuring our long time Legacy season ticket members continue to call this area home.”<\/span><\/p>\n

As the junior hockey landscape evolves and operating expenses continue to rise, finding new revenue opportunities is essential to keeping the Broncos strong and viable for the long term. This new premium seating concept is another great way to generate additional revenue while providing an enhanced game day experience that we believe will become one of the most sought after seating areas in the InnovationPlex.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout the process, the Broncos met with existing season ticket members around the glass and received valuable feedback that helped shape the new VIP table concept. As part of the transition, seating has been reserved for current Legacy season ticket members who wish to remain in the area, with preferred pricing offered as a thank you for their years of support.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new configuration will feature approximately 12 VIP tables around the glass and is expected to provide additional opportunities for fans, businesses, and groups looking for a unique way to experience Broncos hockey.<\/span><\/p>\n

Swift Current, SK \u2013 <\/span><\/strong>The Swift Current Broncos are excited to announce the signing of 2006-born forward Cam Springer to a Western Hockey League Scholarship and Development Agreement.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 6-foot, right-shot centreman from Dexter, Michigan joins the Broncos after spending the 2025-26 season with the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League (USHL). In 61 regular season games, Springer recorded 11 goals and 14 assists for 25 points while serving as an alternate captain for the Storm.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We are thrilled to welcome Cam and his family to the Broncos organization,” said Broncos General Manager and Head Coach Travis Crickard. “Cam is a very mature young man who will bring a responsible two-way game to the centre ice position for our team. In the USHL, he ranked third overall in total faceoffs taken by centremen. As a result, he played all key situations for his team. That experience will prove to be valuable for our group as we stabilize our centre depth.”<\/span><\/p>\n

With the 2026 NHL Draft just days away, Swift Current Broncos forward Sawyer Dingman is one of many talented prospects hoping to hear his name called.<\/p>\n

At just 17 years old, the Edmonton, Alberta product has established himself as a reliable, physically imposing power forward with plenty of upside. Standing at 6\u20194\u201d and 225 pounds, Dingman combines size, strength, and work ethic with an excellent shot, paired with strong skating ability, and a high hockey IQ. His blend of physicality, skill, and long-term potential made him one of the players to watch heading into this year\u2019s draft, and he was ranked 145th among North American skaters on NHL Central Scouting\u2019s final rankings.<\/p>\n

The Broncos selected Dingman in the second round, 30th overall, in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft out of Northern Alberta Xtreme U15 Prep, and since arriving in Swift Current, the left-handed shooter has continued to take major strides in his development.<\/p>\n

Dingman made his first impression with the Broncos during the 2023\/24 season when he was called up for two games and recorded two assists.<\/p>\n

The 2024\/25 campaign marked his first full season in the WHL, where he appeared in 59 games and registered three goals and five assists for eight points, while also collecting 61 penalty minutes.<\/p>\n

This past season, Dingman took another big step forward and became an important piece of the Broncos lineup. In 63 games during the 2025\/26 season, he posted 13 goals and 14 assists for 27 points, while adding 98 penalty minutes.<\/p>\n

Dingman also represented the Broncos at the 2026 WHL Prospects Game in Langley, B.C., where 44 of the top NHL Draft prospects in the Western Hockey League gathered to showcase their skills in front of NHL scouts and executives.<\/p>\n

Swift Current, SK \u2013 <\/span><\/strong>The Swift Current Broncos are excited to announce their 2026\/27 preseason schedule, featuring five exhibition contests, including a special community game in Shaunavon on Saturday, September 12.<\/span><\/p>\n

The preseason schedule will conclude with the Broncos hosting the Medicine Hat Tigers at the LSB Legacy Wickenheiser Centre in Shaunavon at 5:00 p.m. The event will offer a full afternoon of family-friendly entertainment as the Broncos bring WHL preseason action to the heart of southwest Saskatchewan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pregame festivities will begin at 2:00 p.m. with a tailgate party and BBQ, family activities, a beer garden, a 50\/50 draw, and plenty of entertainment for fans of all ages. Following the game, fans will also have the opportunity to meet the Broncos during a postgame autograph session.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ticket prices for the Shaunavon preseason game will be determined at a later date.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Swift Current, SK \u2013<\/span><\/strong> The Swift Current Broncos are proud to announce the hiring of Dr. Ashwin Patel as the organization\u2019s Mental Performance Consultant.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Dr. Patel has provided mental performance consulting to individuals and teams since 2003 and currently serves as a Mental Performance Consultant for the New Jersey Devils of the NHL. He has also worked with the Vancouver Canucks organization and was part of Team Canada at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, supporting the Women\u2019s Beach Volleyball Team.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Since 2016, Dr. Patel has worked extensively in the Canadian Hockey League, including with the Guelph Storm, helping the club win the 2019 OHL Championship, and the Saint John Sea Dogs, who captured the 2022 Memorial Cup. He has also completed multiple assignments with Hockey Canada, including with the 2021 IIHF U18 World Championship Gold Medal-winning team.<\/span><\/p>\n
