Swift Current Broncos General Manager Chad Leslie announced today that he will be stepping down from his position as General Manager and transitioning into a scouting-focused position within the team.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"cvGsUA direction-ltr align-start para-style-body\"><span class=\"a_GcMg font-feature-liga-off font-feature-clig-off font-feature-calt-off text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">\u201cIt has been an honour to serve as the General Manager of the Swift Current Broncos over the past four years,\u201d said Leslie. \u201cDuring this time, I have had the privilege of experiencing both the challenges and the triumphs that come with leading a WHL franchise. The Blades responded in the second period as Rowan Calvert tied the game at 1:58 before Hunter Laing gave Saskatoon a 2\u20131 lead at 10:01.<\/p>\n<p>Saskatoon extended the lead early in the third period with a Cooper Williams power-play goal just six seconds in, but the Broncos pushed back. Hudson Darby cut the deficit to one at 4:02, batting a puck out of the air and into the net off a Colton Alain shot, with Trae Wilke also assisting. Late in regulation, the Broncos found the equalizer on the power play when Hyde Davidson smacked home a rebound from a Darby shot with Wilke earning another assist at 18:15, forcing overtime.<\/p>\n<p>In the extra frame, the Broncos completed the comeback as Sawyer Dingman sent home the winner at 3:14.
