Entering his third season with the Broncos, Achtymichuk continues to play an important role behind the scenes, ensuring the team is prepared both at home and on the road while helping create a first-class environment for players and staff.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I am really excited to continue on here in Swift Current and look forward to the upcoming season,” said Achtymichuk. “I can’t wait to get back to work with everyone in the organization and help ensure our players have everything they need to be successful this season.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Swift Current, SK – <\/span><\/strong>The Swift Current Broncos are pleased to announce that Dominic LePan has accepted the position of Executive Vice President of Business Operations.<\/span><\/p>\n

LePan steps into the role after serving as the club’s Senior Manager of Business Operations and Corporate Partnerships, where he has been instrumental in strengthening the Broncos’ business operations, building relationships with corporate partners, and helping grow the organization’s presence throughout the Southwest Saskatchewan community.<\/span><\/p>\n

Broncos Governor Liam Choo-Foo said LePan’s promotion reflects the confidence the organization has in his ability to lead the business operations department.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are fortunate to have some with Dominic\u2019s skills and ability within our organization. His focus on revenue generation and creative marketing opportunities for our organization will help ensure a smooth transition of leadership with the Business Operations side of our organization. Furthermore, his understanding of our community and the importance of all who are a part of the Broncos fanbase will be essential as we move forward.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

LePan expressed both his gratitude for the opportunity and his excitement for the future of the organization.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since joining the Broncos, Simpson has played an integral role in the club’s business operations, helping strengthen the organization’s connection with the community while contributing to the continued growth of the Broncos on and off the ice.<\/span><\/p>\n

Broncos Governor Liam Choo-Foo thanked Simpson for his many contributions to the organization over the past three seasons.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We are very sorry to see Kevin leave. He has provided incredible leadership and stability for our organization over the past three years. His focus on revenue generation is exactly what our team needed. His steady presence and ability to make everyone around him better in their roles will be missed. We wish Kevin and his family nothing but the best as they begin this next chapter in Moncton.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Swift Current, SK \u2013<\/strong> The Swift Current Broncos are pleased to announce the addition of an Analytics Department to the Hockey Operations staff ahead of the 2026-27 season. <\/span><\/p>\n

Leading the department as Director of Analytics is Simon Malone of Toronto, Ontario. Malone holds a bachelor’s degree in Sport Administration from the University of North Carolina and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Business Analytics. He has previously worked as a Hockey Analytics Consultant with the Toronto Maple Leafs, served as an OHL Data Tracker, and worked as a Hockey Analyst with Middlebury College.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I am really excited to get started with Swift Current,” said Malone. “We have a very diverse analytics department and I look forward to assisting the coaching staff and front office.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Joining Malone is James Connelly (Chapel Hill, North Carolina), who will serve as Data Scientist. Connelly is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Data Science and Sociology at the University of North Carolina. He has scouting experience with both Dobber Prospects and Recruit Scouting.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I am incredibly grateful and honoured to be joining an organization that prioritizes innovation alongside a commitment to winning,” said Connelly. “I am excited to help the Broncos gain any edge possible to help bring a championship back to Swift Current.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Also joining the department is Reggie Hayer (Delta, British Columbia), who will serve as Data Analyst of Scouting. Outside of hockey, Hayer owns MGK Bookkeeping and currently serves as a development coach with North Delta Minor Hockey and as a skills coach with Atomic Hockey.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I am excited to join the Swift Current Broncos analytics department,” said Hayer. “This organization has a strong tradition, and I am looking forward to contributing to that and helping this team win.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Rounding out the department is Jordan Brisebois (Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan), who will serve as Data Analyst of Team Performance. Brisebois holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Kinesiology from the University of Saskatchewan and currently works as Commercial Excellence Manager at ADAMA. His hockey experience includes serving as Hockey Director for the South Prairie Silverbacks and as an evaluator for Hockey Saskatchewan’s Canada Winter Games program.<\/span><\/p>\n

“I am excited to be a part of the deep and successful history of the Swift Current Broncos,” said Brisebois. “The creation of this new department is a strong indicator that the organization is committed to taking a modern approach to hockey development. I am fervent in my approach to hockey and committed to supporting this new tool that is being added to the Broncos toolbox.”<\/span><\/p>\n

“As a small-market team, every advantage matters,” said Broncos General Manager and Head Coach Travis Crickard. “Analytics will be a part of our process to make smarter, more informed decisions on drafting, player acquisition, roster management, and team performance. It’s not a replacement for the great work our scouts, coaches, and staff already do, it’s a way to sharpen it. We’re excited and extremely fortunate to welcome Simon, James, Reggie, and Jordan to our organization. A product of Swift Current, Murdoch joins the Broncos following a successful collegiate career at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia, where he earned a degree in Health Sciences and Data Analytics in Health Care while competing as an NCAA Division I baseball student-athlete.<\/span><\/p>\n

Murdoch is a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), widely regarded as the gold standard certification for coaching high-performance athletes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Swift Current, SK –<\/strong> The Swift Current Broncos, in conjunction with the Western Hockey League, announced their full 68-game schedule for the 2026-27 regular season today.<\/p>\n

The regular season begins on Saturday, September 19, when the Broncos host the Prince Albert Raiders at the InnovationPlex, and concludes on Saturday, March 27, with a road game against the Moose Jaw Warriors.<\/p>\n

As part of the WHL’s interconference schedule, the Broncos will face each U.S. and B.C. Division opponent once during the regular season. Within the Central Division, Swift Current will play each opponent four times.<\/p>\n

In the East, the Broncos will play six games against Regina, seven games against Moose Jaw (four home, three road) and Brandon (four road, three home), and eight games against Prince Albert and Saskatoon.<\/p>\n

After making their U.S. Division road trip last season, the Broncos will travel through the B.C. Division in 2026-27. The six-game trip begins on Friday, October 2 in Victoria, followed by a game against Vancouver on Saturday, October 3<\/span>. Swift Current will then visit Penticton on Tuesday, October 6, Kelowna on Wednesday, October 7, Kamloops on Friday, October 9, before wrapping up the trip in Prince George on Sunday, October 11.<\/p>\n

The breakdown of games per month goes as follows: September (3), October (13), November (10), December (9), January (11), February (11) and March (11).<\/span><\/p>\n

The Swift Current Broncos added three international prospects Tuesday during the 2026 CHL Import Draft, selecting defenceman Yuri Vlasenko, forward Oliver Torkki, and forward Stepan Farushev.<\/p>\n

With the 21st overall pick, the Broncos selected 2010-born Russian defenceman Yuri Vlasenko.<\/p>\n

Born in Vienna (Wien<\/em>), Austria, Vlasenko spent the 2025-26 season with Dynamo Moskva U16, where he served as an alternate captain and was recognized as the top 2010-born defenceman in Russia. At the 2025-26 Russia Cup, Vlasenko recorded 4 goals and 15 assists for 19 points in 24 games with Dynamo Moskva U16, showcasing his offensive ability from the blue line. The 15-year-old also earned opportunities to play with Dynamo Moskva’s U17 and U18 teams throughout the season while representing Russia internationally with the country’s U16 National Team.<\/p>\n

The Broncos continued their draft with the 67th overall pick, selecting 2008-born Finnish forward Oliver Torkki.<\/p>\n

A native of Espoo, Finland, Torkki skated for Kiekko-Espoo U20 during the 2025-26 campaign, recording 11 goals and 8 assists for 19 points in 23 games. Internationally, Torkki has represented Finland on several occasions, including the 2024 U17 World Challenge and the 2025 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. He also appeared in 10 games with Finland’s U18 National Team this season, collecting two assists.<\/p>\n

The Broncos rounded out the draft by selecting 2009-born Russian forward Stepan Farushev with the 91st overall pick.<\/p>\n

Standing 6-foot-6, the Balashikha, Russia product split the season between Severnaya Zvezda Moskva U17 and MAH Moskva-2 U18. Farushev recorded 11 goals and 12 assists in 28 games with Severnaya Zvezda before finishing the season with MAH Moskva-2 U18, where he posted 7 goals and 9 assists in 14 games.<\/p>\n

Prior to the draft, the Broncos parted ways with import forward Stepan Kuryachenkov.<\/p>\n

Each VIP table area will include comfortable premium seating, tables for food and beverages, dedicated wait staff service, and a more private atmosphere for guests enjoying Broncos hockey from ice level.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following months of discussions and feedback from fans, the Broncos Board of Directors approved the new concept as part of the club’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the fan experience and creating new premium seating options for supporters and corporate partners.<\/span><\/p>\n
