Broncos and Giants Make Trade

The Broncos have acquired 17 year old defenseman Ryan Molle from the Giants in exchange for a 3rd round pick in the 2007 WHL Bantam Draft. Molle is a 6’3, 195lbs. defenseman from Saskatoon, SK.

He spent last season with the Calgary Flames of the AMHL where he recorded 3 goals and 16 assists in 35 games to go along with 60 penalty minutes. Molle will be entering his first full season in the Western Hockey League this year but did appear in 3 games with the Giants from 2004-2006.

It became evident in training camp that we would need to add some depth to our back end. With the new rules and the potential for more injuries this season we felt we would need to acquire another defenseman, commented Broncos General Manager/Head Coach Dean Chynoweth. Ryan is a big, mobile defenseman that moves the puck well and should compliment the rest of our defense core.
