BLAZERS SWEEP WEEKEND IN PG WITH 4-1 WIN
The Blazers outshot the Cougars 21-5 over the final two periods in a convincing 4-1 win on Saturday night to sweep the weekend series in Prince George.
Two late second period goals proved to be the difference with Nick Chyzowski and Ondrej Vala scoring with less than 18 seconds left in the second period to give the Blazers a 3-1 lead.
16-year-old Connor Zary added the insurance with a beautiful goal on an individual effort in the third period.
Dylan Ferguson was solid in goal with 17 saves on 18 shots to help the Blazers improve to 2-9-0-0 on the season.
The Blazers will have the week to practice to prepare for games in Spokane and Tri-City this upcoming weekend.
