BLAZERS HELP OUT UNITED WAY CAMPAIGN
BONNER, CHYZOWSKI AND WILLICK HELP UNITED WAY
Kamloops, BC – General Manager Craig Bonner, Director of Marketing and Sales Dave Chyzowski and 20-year-old forward Dylan Willick were all arrested today as part of the United Way ‘Jail and Bail’ campaign in partnership with the Kamloops RCMP.
The Kamloops RCMP is spending their Thursday arresting some 80 local community leaders throughout the day and will put them in a make-shift jail at the Tournament Capital Centre until they reach bail.
The local goal for the RCMP is to raise $75,000 through this initiative to help the United Way reach its goal of raising $2 million this year.
“This is money that is needed in our community and that will stay in our community,” expressed RCMP Supt. Yves Lacasse. “The Kamloops Blazers are a huge part of the community and we are glad they have stepped up.”
To date, the three members of the Blazers have raised a combined total of $4655. Luckily, ‘bail’ is set at $500 so all three members of the hockey club will be released from the make-shift jail.
