BLAZERS HOST BRONCOS AT SANDMAN CENTRE
The Blazers host the Swift Current Broncos on Friday, January 31st. Puck drop is 7pm at the Sandman Centre.
Friday’s game is sponsored by Petland. Stop by their booth in Sponsor’s Corner, where they will be engraving name tags for your pets for $10, with $5 going to the Four Paws Food Bank. They will also a have an enter to win for two gift baskets.
The game night brings a fun and furry twist with Mascot Night! All of Digger’s mascot friends will be in the building to meet fans and take photos on the concourse while cheering on the Blazers.
It’s also Pet Partners Night! Fans are encouraged to bring a donation for the Four Paws Food Bank. ElderDog Canada Kamloops, Sammy’s Forgotten Felines Rescue Society and Eden’s Way Farm Sanctuary will also be on the concourse raising awareness and taking donations for their causes.
The Four Paws Food Bank is a small volunteer-driven organization that helps keep people and pets together through crisis. Their primary services are
a pet food bank for emergency food supports, emergency vet care support and spay/neuter sponsorships, and when possible, emergency fostering.
ElderDog Canada Kamloops is registered charity non-profit organization with a mission to “keep love in the home” by utilizing our fully vetted volunteers to provide free services to seniors and their dogs. Some services they offer are help with dog walking, minor grooming, transport to and from vet appointments, dog food delivery or pick up, and fostering in the unfortunate times of need.
Sammy’s Forgotten Felines Rescue Society is a registered non-profit cat rescue specializing in feral cat colonies and community cats. Their goal is to trap, neuter, rehabilitate(socialize), and rehome them, getting them off the street and into the homes they so deserve. They are always looking for more foster homes.
Eden’s Way Farm Sanctuary is a registered charity organization in Kamloops that provides a forever home for rescued, surrendered, and abandoned farm animals. They also offer a welcoming farm setting for people too where visitors from all ages and backgrounds can connect with animals, experience their therapeutic effects, and be inspired to make more compassionate choices towards them.
The Levy pregame meal takes place in the Kamloops Kia Lounge two hours before puck drop. Friday’s menu is Cottage Pie & Chopped Salad.
Young fans attending the game can stop by the Leaps of Laughter Kids Corner to receive a coupon for an ice cream cone courtesy of McDonald’s (while supplies last).
