Behind the Blade | 2026 WHL Prospects Game
Saskatoon Blades forwards Cooper Williams and Zach Olsen, along with defenceman Brayden Klimpke suited up for Team East at the inaugural Western Hockey League (WHL), pitting the most highly touted, NHL Draft-eligible prospects from the league’s Eastern Conference against those from the WHL’s Western Conference.
The 2026 WHL Prospects Game served as the first all-WHL event of its kind since Jan. 19, 2000, when the Kelowna Rockets hosted the 2000 WHL All-Star Game, in which the Eastern Conference defeated the Western Conference by a score of 10-8 in front of 5,420 fans at Prospera Place.
Take a behind-the-scenes look at the week that was for the Blades trio!
