17-year-old import forward David Lewandowski pops into the list ranked 52nd amongst North American skaters. The Düsseldorf, GER centre was drafted in the second round (120th overall) of the 2024 CHL Import Draft in July. Lewandowski’s scored eight goals and nine assists in 24 games with Saskatoon after signing with the club on October 8. The 6-foot-2 forward represented Team Germany at the 2025 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship in Ottawa earlier this month. Lewandowski scored two goals in five games at the tournament. The left-handed shot cracked NHL Central Scouting’s early season rankings with a “W” rating, indicating a sixth or seventh round candidate, and a first time NHL draft-eligible “Work in Progress” player with limited scouting history and games played.
Tuesday’s announcement marked the first time Kachkowski’s been listed by NHL Central Scouting, coming in at 224. The 6-foot blueliner was acquired by the Blue and Gold on January 6 in a blockbuster deal with the Medicine Hat Tigers that send Nashville Predators prospect Tanner Molendyk and 19-year-old forward Misha Volotovskii the other way. The 18-year-old defender has eight assists in 40 games between the Blades and Tigers during his sophomore season.
