The Saskatoon Blades are excited to bring fans the third and final topic of our PokeCheck Learns series tonight when we welcome the Swift Current Broncos to SaskTel Centre.
We’re joining forces with TD to bring for Sensory Awareness Night. This night will highlight the challenges some endure just going to a sporting event, and what we can do as a group to be more accessible, more accepting, and proving that hockey is for everyone!
We’ve created some commemorative lapel pins for this series which can be purchased in-store at The FEZ or during the game at the Frozen Pond.

Tonight
The Saskatoon Blades (31-20-3-4) look to move one step closer to clinching a WHL playoff berth as they welcome the Swift Current Broncos (31-25-1-1) to SaskTel Centre. The magic number for the Blue and Gold is five points, either earned by themselves, or lost by the Red Deer Rebels. The Blades are third place in the East Division with 67 points, two back of the second-place Brandon Wheat Kings and five behind the division’s top Prince Albert Raiders. The Blades have ten games left in the regular season and all of them are against East Division opponents.
Tonight’s the seventh of eight regular season games between the Blades and Broncos. Saskatoon’s 3-2-0-1 through the first six meetings, outscoring the Broncos 29-22. The Blades are coming off a 5-3 win at home on Sunday against Edmonton Oil Kings.
Who to Watch
16-year-old rookie forward Zach Olsen scored a pair of goals in Sunday’s win against the Oil Kings. The first-star performance snapped a ten-game goalless drought and registered the first multi-goal game of Olsen’s career. The Calgary, AB native has nine goals and nine assists in 53 games this season.
Alternate captain Tyler Parr dished two helpers in the victory Sunday versus Edmonton. The 2005-born winger leads the team in assists (37) and points (55) while scoring 18 goals in 56 games. Parr has three assists in his last two games.
Rookie centre Cooper Williams also registered two helpers in Sunday’s victory against Edmonton. The 6-foot forward is fifth in WHL rookie scoring with 16 goals and 28 assists for 44 points in 58 games. Williams has the most points amongst WHL East Division rookies and is the only other Blades besides defenceman Grayden Siepmann to appear in every game this year.
