NHL Draft-eligible centre Cooper Williams was named first star last night after a goal and an assist. Williams opened the scoring 2:31 into the game to snap a five-game goalless draught. The 17-year-old forward dished a pair of assists at Wednesday’s WHL Prospects Game for Team East in a 5-4 overtime. Williams is second on the team in scoring with 19 goals and 28 assists for 47 points in 55 games.

Edmonton Oilers draft picks David Lewandowski leads the team in scoring with 15 goals and 39 assists for 54 points in 47 games. Alternate captain Rowan Calvert has the most goals on the team at 25 and a team-leading 13 coming on the man-advantage. Second-year defenceman Jordan Martin owns the best +/- at +10. Gardner has a 20-14-3-2 record between the pipes with a .904 SV%, 2.96 GAA, and three shutouts.
