It’s another Winning Wednesday at SaskTel Centre! If your Saskatoon Blades defeat the Regina Pats in any fashion, every fan in attendance walks home with a FREE ticket voucher to our next home game! You won’t need to wait long to redeem as the next home game is Friday, Feb. 13 against the Swift Current Broncos.
We want to remind fans our Winning Wednesday procedure to receive your free voucher is now completely digital. If the Blades win, stick around after the final horn and scan the QR code on screen to take advantage of the free ticket voucher. Fans will NOT be able to redeem a physical copy at the rink or The FEZ.
The Saskatoon Blades play their first of four games in the next six days. The Blades have two more home games including tonight before embarking on a four-game road trip. Saskatoon erased a two-goal deficit in the third period against Regina on Friday at the Brandt Centre to win 4-3 in overtime. The Blades lead the six-game season series 3-1 with two wins coming in the extra frame. The Blue and Gold hope to shake off a 4-2 loss at home on Saturday against the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Do the Math(ies)
18-year-old winger Kazden Mathies had a goal and an assist in Saturday’s loss. The Martensville, SK native netted his third powerplay goal of the season in the second period to tie the game 1-1. Mathies had a three-point performance (1G, 2A) on Friday against Regina, giving him two goals and three assists in his last two games. The former Seattle Thunderbird has 15 goals and ten assists for 25 points in 52 games, all career highs.
Super Cooper
Sophomore forward Cooper Williams recorded his 100th career WHL point in Saturday’s defeat. The NHL Draft-eligible centre assisted on Mathies’ powerplay goal to reach the milestone. Representing Team East at the upcoming WHL Prospects Game in Langley, BC, Williams has 43 points (18G, 25A) in 50 games. Joining Williams from the Blades in Langley is fellow forward Zach Olsen and defenceman Brayden Klimpke.
The good guys
Edmonton Oilers draft pick David Lewandowski leads the team in scoring with 12 goals and 35 assists for 47 points in 42 games. Alternate captain Rowan Calvert has the most goals on the team at 24 and a team-leading 12 coming on the man-advantage. Second-year defenceman Jordan Martin owns the best +/- at +10. Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Gardner has a 19-13-2-1 record between the pipes with a .906 SV%, 2.85 GAA, and three shutouts.
