The Saskatoon Blades visit Co-op Place for the final regular season meeting against the Medicine Hat Tigers. The Blades dropped the first two battles against Medicine Hat getting outscored 13-4 in the process. The Bridge City Bunch took the latest contest on Friday at home in an emotional 3-2 shootout victory. Saskatoon dressed two AP defencemen in the win with several injuries to the backend and overcame two separate one-goal deficits. Tonight’s the second contest four on the Blades’ road trip. The Blades lost 5-1 in Edmonton on Sunday at Rogers Place to begin the journey.

Final day in the Hat
Tonight’s the final regular season trip to Medicine Hat for 20-year-old forwards Tyler Parr and Rowan Calvert. Parr has four goals and nine assists for 13 points in 18 career games against the Tigers. In 13 career games against the Tigers, Calvert has five goals and five assists for ten points. The second-year alternate captain leads the team with 22 goals and 11 powerplay goals in 45 games this season.
Pul lights the lamp
19-year-old German import forward Elias Pul scored the lone goal for the Blue and Gold in Sunday’s loss. The former Spokane Chief got the Blades on the board with under seven minutes left in regulation. In 29 games this season, Pul has five goals and five assists. Two goals and two assists have come in seven games since joining the Blue and Gold prior to Christmas.
The good guys
17-year-old forward Cooper Williams leads the team in scoring with 16 goals and 23 assists for 39 points in 43 games. Calvert has the most goals on the team at 22 and a team-leading 11 coming on the man-advantage. Second-year defenceman Jordan Martin has the best +/- at +10. Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Evan Gardner has an 18-9-2-1 record between the pipes with a .905 SV%, 2.78 GAA, and two shutouts.
The opposition
The Tigers have dropped back-to-back games and three of their last four contests. The lethal NHL Draft-eligible duo of Liam and Markus Ruck lead the team in points with 64 and 63 respectfully. 19-year-old captain Bryce Pickford leads the team in goals with 33.
