The Saskatoon Blades (17-6-2-2) look to snap a three-game winless skid Wednesday at VisitLethbridge.com Arena against the Lethbridge Hurricanes (14-10-1-1).
The Blades began their three-game road trip last night with a 6-4 loss in Medicine Hat against the Tigers. It was a valiant effort for the Blue and Gold, overcoming three separate deficits throughout the night.
Tonight marks the second meeting of the year between the Eastern Conference powerhouses. The Blades won the first meeting of the season series 4-1 on November 29 at SaskTel Centre. Since then, the Hurricanes have added Winnipeg Jets prospect Brayden Yager and WHL champion goalie Jackson Unger via trade from the Moose Jaw Warriors.

20-year-old sniper Brandon Lisowsky scored career goal 137 in last night’s loss against the Tigers. The Port Coquitlam, BC product’s tally puts him one goal shy of tying alumnus Josh Nicholls for sixth place on the Blades’ all-time goal scoring list. Lisowsky is second on the team in points with 30 (16G, 14A) as he suits up for career game 250. The left-handed shot scored his 250th career WHL point one week ago in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Red Deer Rebels, becoming the 26th player in franchise history to reach the 250-point plateau. Lisowsky enters tonight on a six-game point streak, scoring six goals and four assists in that span.
2005-born forward Misha Volotovskii dished two helpers in last night’s loss to Medicine Hat. The Calgary, AB product has three assists in his last six games and ten points (3G, 7A) in 28 games this season.
Rookie blueliner Jordan Martin picked up his third goal of the season yesterday in medicine Hat after a beautiful drive to the net. The 6-foot-2 defender has three goals and and three assists in 26 games this year.
