Tonight
It’s the second half of back-to-back home games for the Saskatoon Blades (14-6-0-0) as they welcome the Swift Current Broncos (11-9-1-0) to SaskTel Centre.
It’s “Girls Rock Night” inside the arena as the Blades celebrate and embrace women through sport. It’s the second meeting of the season between the Blades and Broncos, Saskatoon taking the first 5-4 on the road on Nov. 10th. Captain Trevor Wong and Nashville Predators prospect Tanner Molendyk had three assists in the victory. The Blades are fresh off a 3-2 win against the Moose Jaw Warriors last night, dawning their vintage bulldozer jerseys.
Who to Watch
Eight different Blades registered a point in yesterday’s win vs Moose Jaw. Forwards Jordan Keller and Misha Volotovskii, along with defenceman Ben Saunderson, all scored on the night.

Captain Trevor Wong playmaking ability has been on full display this season. Saskatoon’s leading scorer has 14 points (1G, 13A) in his last six games, all coming in four multi-point performances. The Vancouver, BC product leads the WHL in assists with 28, and is fourth in WHL scoring with 33 points (5G, 28A). Wong’s eight points shy of 200 total in his WHL career and is the only Blade to surpass the 30-point plateau this season.
Anaheim Ducks draft pick Egor Sidorov’s making goalies across the WHL shake in their boots. The 6-foot sniper has 13 points (10G, 3A) in his last seven games. Sidorov netted his second hat-trick of the season and the sixth of his career Tuesday in a 9-6 loss to the Warriors, two coming on the man-advantage. The Belarusian machine leads the Blades in both goals (18) and powerplay goals (9) in 18 games, totalling 27 (18G, 9A) points on the season.
