The Saskatoon Blades (10-8-2-0) visit InnovationPlex for a Remembrance Day matinee Tuesday against the Swift Current Broncos (7-10-1-0). Puck drop is 2:00pm CST.
The Bridge City Bunch hope to end a five-game losing skid. Saskatoon’s 0-3-2-0 in their last five games and winners of one in their last eight games. Despite recent struggles, the Blades remain second-place in the East Division with 22 points, five back of the Prince Albert Raiders (12-1-3-0).
Today’s the first of eight meetings between the Blades and Broncos this season. Saskatoon dropped back-to-back games at home this past weekend. A 6-5 thriller went in favour of the Moose Jaw Warriors (10-9-1-0) on Friday, followed by a 4-1 defeat the next night at the hands of the Calgary Hitmen (12-4-2-0). Blades forward Hayden Harsanyi had the lone goal in defeat on the powerplay. The Calgary, AB native’s second powerplay goal of the year was his fifth overall and 12th point in 20 games this season.
It’s been a busy first quarter for the Blue and Gold. The Blades have played the most games at 20 alongside the Warriors and Edmonton Oil Kings. 12 of those 20 games have been on the road.

Alternate captains Rowan Calvert and Hunter Laing are tied for the most goals on the team with eight. Second-year defenceman Jordan Martin has the best +/- at +10. Columbus Blue Jackets prospect Evan Gardner boasts a 6-5-2-0 record between the pipes with a .907 save percentage (SV%), 2.69 goals against average (GAA), and one shutout.

Swift Current’s offence is led by 2008-born forward Noah Kosick. The former Hitmen has five goals and 16 assists in 18 games this season. Goalie Joey Rocha has all seven wins for the Broncos this season.
