Blades alumnus Ethan Chadwick commits to University of Saskatchewan Huskies
Saskatoon, SK – Former Saskatoon Blades goalie Ethan Chadwick has committed to the University of Saskatchewan (UofS) Huskies Men’s Hockey team for the 2024-25 season.
The 20-year-old netminder spent two seasons in the Bridge City between 2021-2023, appearing in 46 games. Chadwick’s best season with the Blue and Gold came in the 2022-23 campaign with 23 wins, a .899 save-percentage (SV%), 2.61 goals-against average (GAA), and two shutouts in 34 appearances. The Saskatoon product was a hero in the 2023 playoffs for the Blades, winning three straight games in Round 1 against the Regina Pats after trailing 2-0 in the series. The Blades went down 3-0 to the Red Deer Rebels in Round 2, and Chadwick collected wins in games 4 and 5 to help the Blades complete the third reverse-sweep in WHL history.
The former Saskatoon Contact played his 19-year-old WHL season with the Everett Silvertips in 2023-24, going 15-9-0-0 with a .883 SV%, 3.46 GAA, and one shutout.
Chadwick joins former teammate and fellow Blades alumnus Trevor Wong as a member of the Huskies roster this season
