Americans vs Rockets

Start Time: 7:05 p.m. PDT
[TICKETS]
The Americans and Rockets will meet tonight for the first time in their five-game season series.
Tri-City was 1-2-0-1 against the Rockets last season. Their lone victory over Kelowna came on December 3 at the Toyota Center.
Both teams come into tonight’s matchup off weekday wins. The Americans defeated Wenatchee 2-1 at home on Wednesday, and the Rockets defeated Swift Current 6-3 at home on Tuesday.
Max Curran opened scoring for the Ams on Wednesday with his first WHL goal. Deagan McMillan followed with Tri-City’s second goal. He is the first Ams player to record multiple game-winning goals this season. Lukas Matecha played the full game in net for Tri-City and turned aside 28 of 29 shots. He has played in all six games since joining the Americans after attending pro-camp with the Detroit Red Wings.
Tonight is the second of three straight home games for the Americans. They will return to the Toyota Center on Sunday to take on the Everett Silvertips.
