PREVIEW: Americans @ Chiefs – September 26, 2026
LAST GAME: The Americans and Kamloops Blazers traded goals in the opening 23 seconds of the game last night, but Mateo Ferreira’s first WHL goal 8:53 into the first period ended up being the difference at Tri-City fell 2-1 at home. The Americans seemed to get better as the game went along, but couldn’t solve Kaeden Tate in the Kamloops crease after Aden Bouchard’s goal 23 seconds in. Ryan Grout held the fort for the Americans with 20 saves in his first start of the year.
VS SPOKANE: This is the second meeting of the year between the Americans and Chiefs with Spokane spoiling Tri-City’s home opener last weekend with a 3-2 shootout win. After tonight the two teams won’t see each other for nearly three months until the final game before the Christmas break December 19 in Spokane. The Chiefs return to the Toyota Center for the annual New Year’s Eve matchup between the two teams.
