PREVIEW: Americans @ Blazers – Oct. 28

Enduring back-to-back losses for the first time this season, the Americans will look to bounce back as they take on the Blazers again at the Sandman Centre tonight.
It will be the third of four meetings between the two teams this season. The Ams are 1-0-1-0 against the Blazers with the home team taking each win so far. Dylan Sydor is the only player in the series to have goals in both games. Parker Bell leads the Americans with one goal and two assists against the Blazers, all three points from their October 14 game.
The Americans suffered a 3-2 loss last night in Kamloops. Jake Sloan opened scoring early first period for the second straight game. The 19-year-old forward went eight games without a goal after scoring a hat trick on Sept. 23 in Prince George before this road trip.
Brandon Whynott scored Tri-City’s second goal in the middle frame. He is on a career-first goal streak with goals in his last three games. He also had a career first on Sunday against Everett with his first WHL multi-goal game.
Yesterday was Tri-City’s second overtime appearance of the season. Their first came on October 20 as they fell to the Rockets in a shootout … Lukas Matecha played in net for the Americans, he is 5-1-1-1 through 8 starts this season.
