PREVIEW: Americans at Wild – Dec. 3
GAME DAY PREVIEW
Americans at Wild
Sunday, December 3 | Wenatchee, WA | Town Toyota Center
Start Time: 4:00 p.m. PDT
The Americans will wrap up a three-in-three weekend today in Wenatchee. It’ll be the fourth meeting between the Ams and Wild this season.
The home team has won each prior meeting. They most recently met on November 17 in Kennewick as the Americans won 3-2 in overtime. Jordan Gavin scored twice for Tri-City, including the overtime-winner. Kyle Kelsey played in net for Tri-City, stopping 32 of 34 shots faced. Gavin leads head-to-head scoring in the series with three goals and two assists against the Wild.
The two teams will meet again next Saturday in Kennewick for Tri-City’s Teddy Bear Toss game.
A four-goal third period pushed the Giants to a 6-3 victory over the Americans last night at the Toyota Center. It was the Ams third straight loss, matching their season-longest losing streak. Lukas Dragicevic, Cash Koch, and Carter MacAdams scored for the Americans. It was MacAdams first goal since recently joining the Americans from Calgary. Despite the score, Tri-City led shots 42-31. Kyle Kelsey played in net for the Ams and stopped 25 of 30 shots faced.
Tri-City is on their worst ten-game stretch of the season (4-6-0-0). They will desperately look to get back in the win column tonight and snap their three-game losing streak.
