Parker AuCoin commits to Carleton University
KENNEWICK, WA – Tri-City Americans general manager Bob Tory announced today that former Americans forward Parker AuCoin will join the Carleton University Ravens for the 2019-20 season.
AuCoin, a St. Albert, AB native, was selected by Tri-City in the first-round (15th overall) in the 2013 WHL Bantam Draft. He played four years in the WHL with the Americans posting 180 total points (88 goals, 92 assists) through 262 games.
The 6’0, 198-pound forward finished his 2018-19 campaign with 84 points (42 goals, 42 assists) in 68 games for a career-high 1.24 points per game average. AuCoin is the first Americans player to reach the 40-goal mark since Justin Feser in 2012-13.
“We are very excited for Parker as he takes his next journey after graduating our program,” said Tory. “Not only was he a talented player who spent his whole career in Tri-City, but he embodied being an American from his involvement in the community and the way he treated his teammates. His leadership and passion left a mark on our franchise like so many before him.

AuCoin finished his WHL career this past season and will now take advantage of the WHL Scholarship program. For each season played in the WHL, a player is awarded with a one-year post-secondary scholarship, which includes tuition, compulsory fees, and required textbooks.
“After visiting Carleton, I knew it was the right place to continue my education and hockey career. I am very excited to join their program this fall,” said AuCoin. “Tri-City has greatly prepared me for this next chapter, and I am extremely grateful for my time spent there. I would like to thank the Americans organization, my billets, and the Tri-City community for all their support. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend my junior career.”
